Player of the WeekKristi Little - Duquesne Junior, Guard, Altoona, Pa./Altoona HS Little averaged 13.5 points, 9.0 assists, 6.0 rebounds and 2.5 steals as DU won both its games this week (a season-best four in a row) and clinched a No. 9 seed in Atlantic 10 Championship … had a game-high and tied a personal-best with 11 assists at Rhode Island on Feb. 27...tied the game-high with 12 points and had a game-high seven assists in a win over La Salle on March 1...had more assists than the entire Explorer team (five)...finished the 2007-08 season scoring in double figures in every game...first Player of the Week honor.
Phillips averaged 19 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 51.6 percent in a 1-1 week for the Musketeers ... scored 16 points and was one rebound shy of a double-double versus Dayton on Feb. 27 ... followed that effort with a 19-point, 17-rebound performance in XU's 60-57 win at Saint Bonaventure on March 1...double-double was Phillips' 17th of the year, the most of any freshman in the country ... now has 328 rebounds on the season, a new single-season school record ... tied an A-10 all-sport record for Rookie of the Week honors with 12 on the year.
