Temple Track & Field Head Coach Stefanie Scalessa Resigns

6/18/2008 - Temple head men's and women's track and field coach Stefanie Scalessa has submitted her resignation to pursue other professional opportunities, director of athletics Bill Bradshaw announced today. Scalessa recently completed her fourth season directing the track and field team and her third season overseeing the recently-reinstated cross country program.

Gbaa was named the Most Outstanding Field Performer after winning the triple jump with the Conference's top distance of the year with a jump of 15.45 meters (50-8 1/4) at the 2008 Atlantic 10 Indoor Track and Field Championships, held at the University of Rhode Island on Feb. 16...placed seventh in the long jump with a mark of 6.85 meters (22-5 3/4).
